Nairobi Governor, Mike Sonko, has gone a notch higher in his quest to ensure the efficient running of the city.
Taking his latest move on Facebook, the fiery governor unveiled two contacts that one could use to report complaints.
The Nairobi County Communications Director, Jacob Elkanah, confirmed that the two contacts were the governor's personal numbers.
"Ukiona subcounty na ward admin (If you see that the sub-county and the ward administrator) in your area sleeping on their job by allowing uncollected garbage to pile up, just call, text or send WhatsApp messages to 0739555555 or 0722886600 for necessary action," the governor's post read.
Elkanah confirmed that this move was not only linked to the issue of uncollected garbage, but also all other sectors serviced by the county government.
He also added that the governor would personally deal with the slacking county workers, if they are reported by city dwellers.
"The contacts are his (Sonko's) phone numbers and he will personally deal with the people reported," Elkana told Kenyans.co.ke.
The governor has been on a spree of exposing damning messages and complaints sent to him by distraught residents over poor services by county officials.
On Monday morning, the governor posted two different messages showing how garbage had been uncollected at Hamza Ward and patients in Mbagathi Hospital complaining of long queues, without being attended to.
"This is the governor's latest move to ensure that all the county services are offered in a timely manner. Sonko will issue directives on what will be done to those reported, " Elkanah concluded.
