Time DPP Haji Worked in a Radio Station & Other Personal Details

Little is known about the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP), Noordin Haji, the tough man working day and night to fight the corruption menace in Kenya.

Most would refer to him as the man giving corrupt Kenyans sleepless nights, by exposing them and having them arrested. However, those close to him paint a different picture from the one he poses in public.

They describe him as an easy-going man, who never has time for special treatment when among his friends and family as Nairobian reports.

"He is the kind of person that will be angry one time and but the next minute he is easy, laughing and reminding you that he does not entertain nonsense," an old friend told the publication.

A friend who has known him for a long time stated that sharing a meal with his father is one of his daily routines.

"It is a routine he has maintained for a long period of time," stated a source he has known for a long time.

"When in his true element, he smiles a lot and is easily accessible and does not discriminate the poor," another friend divulged.

The DPP has also worked at Radio Salaam FM, where he served as the station manager for about 10 years.

He co-owned the station with his father, Garissa Senator, Yusuf Haji and brother Abdul.

The station has also had prominent journalists including the current Nyali constituency MP, Mohammed Ali, working there.
