Ann Kiguta's Offer to Murkomen After KTN Cancelled Interview

K24 TV presenter, Anne Kiguta, has offered to host Majority Leader of the Senate, Kipchumba Murkomen, on her new show.

This is after the politician tweeted on Sunday evening that his interview at KTN News had been cancelled.

"I am sorry to let you know that my colleague Sen Moi has cancelled my appearance at KTN CheckPoint tonight. I have always supported media freedom in Kenya. Unfortunately, the struggle between media ownership and editorial  independence is real," he tweeted.

While apologising to Murkomen, Kiguta extended an open invitation to him on her new show called Punchline.

"Pole Senator. I extend an open invitation to you on Punchline at K24 TV. You are welcome to step into the ring," she told the politician.

Insider sources at KTN News confirmed to Kenyans.co.ke that the interview had indeed been cancelled.

"The interview was cancelled by Gideon Moi's PA," a source who did not want to be named revealed.

In yet another post, Murkomen  bashed his counterpart, Baringo Senator, Gideon Moi, citing he was also behind the The Standard's cover headline 'Why Uhuru avoided Ruto at the Airport'

He went ahead and explained the whereabouts of Deputy President William Ruto during the time he was claimed to have been side stepped by Uhuru.

"Yesterday (Saturday) after a public function at Nyandarua, the DP proceeded to visit his friend Mzee Ole Muyaa in Kajiado. Around 6.30pm, he left Kajiado for Nairobi.

"Meanwhile HE Uhuru Kenyatta jetted back at around 5pm. Now see how my colleague Gideon Moi has reported. Pettines and desperation!" the Elgeyo Marakwet senator tweeted.
