Ruto Discloses Wife's Last-Minute Attempt to Save Laboso's Life [VIDEO]

Deputy President William Ruto, on Saturday, revealed how his wife tried to save the life of the late Joyce Laboso when she realised that her health was deteriorating.

Speaking during the requiem mass for the deceased Bomet governor at Fort Ternan, the DP disclosed that Rachel Ruto overheard a conversation that he was having with Laboso's husband, Edwin Abonyo

Rachel then told her husband that she was going to call a friend of hers to come and pray for the governor because it seemed like the situation was getting out of hand.

"When I was speaking to Edwin one of the late nights. Naturally, because it was late at night. I was at home and we were in the bedroom and my wife was there.

"When she heard us talking, she told me she was going to call a friend ours who is known as Prophet Franscina from America to pray for Joyce," Ruto narrated.

The DP revealed that that a few weeks later, the said prophet flew to London and prayed for Laboso at the hospital where she had been admitted.

Ruto hailed Laboso as a great leader who had set a good example for many women.

"We are burying a woman of great humility and determination. In her journey through life, she has had to overcome many obstacles. She defeated traditional stereotypes.

"This great woman had to hustle her way to what she became. She worked hard and had a lot of determination. Today we rest her and we celebrate her life as a great woman leader," he added.
