Joho Condemns Bamburi Attack From US and the Comments Are Savage

Mombasa Governor, Ali Hassan Joho, came out with a statement condemning the gang attack that took place in Bamburi, on Monday night.

"I am extremely perturbed by yesterday’s wave of attacks in Bamburi and Mtopanga within Kisauni Sub-county. I urge security agents to move with speed and bring to book perpetrators of last night’s attacks on innocent civilians," he announced.

"As Govt, it’s our duty to ensure the protection of people’s lives & property. I am asking members of the public to volunteer information that will lead to the arrest of gangs that have been terrorizing people," he added.

However, residents, as well as netizens, were quick to point out Joho's recent Instagram activities.

The governor, who is currently in the US, had been posting various photos in high-end hotels, which did not go down well with his constituents.

"This is not enough from you Mr Gov. Attacks to civilians in Mombasa has now become a norm!!!! It needs more than a twitter post to address that!!!  Think!!! Think!!!" Brian Muthoka posted.

"Huyo ndio plesdent kingston. Oooh your highness ndio unaamka sasa? (are you waking up just now) So what is perturbing you? Please stay in your deep slumber," Lydia Mukami added via Facebook.

A photo he posted on Instagram on the day of the attack, from a location tagged as Beverly Hills, California, received a barrage of scathing comments.

"Governor stop slaying na your city is pathetic," a user posted.

"People are being slaughtered while you busy flaunting ur beards on Instagram," Mark Dave posted.

Joho caused a stir on various social media platform earlier in the day when a short video of himself alongside Paris Hilton went viral.

Here are some of the comments shared by netizens following Joho's latest post regarding the Bamburi attacks:
