During the burial of the late billionaire, Mbugua Githere, his son, EALA MP, Simon Mbugua, encountered an embarrassing situation after he was humiliated by his step-brothers.
The MP recalls that he had gone for his father's burial in Gachie when the incident took place.
"I went to Gachie to bury him. I had just bought a Mercedes Benz from Kiambu Senator, Kimani Wamatangi and when I arrived, my step-brothers thought I had come to fight them over inheritance," Mbugua narrated.
He went ahead and stated that his step-brothers threw away some of the foodstuffs he had with him, while his step-sister told him to leave the place.
"I removed whatever I had carried in my boot and gave to one of the family members. When one of my step-sisters saw that, she said that the family did not want anything from me and that I should leave," he narrated.
The former Kamukunji MP disclosed that he was a product of a secret love affair between his late mother and the billionaire.
"My mother was Githere's mpango wa kando. He never married her but he was still my biological father. I was basically raised by a single mother. Despite being a billionaire, he never helped me in any way," he noted.
Speaking to Kenyans.co.ke, the MP stated that the experience taught him a valuable lesson that totally changed his life.
"I said to myself, I don't want to be a beggar, I want to work hard and get my own money and I declared that I would be richer than my father," he proclaimed.
