Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua's Chief of Staff, Mwengi Mutuse, was involved in a road accident on Monday.
His vehicle was part of a chain accident along Mombasa road, near Salama.
It is, however, not clear what caused the accident.
On his Facebook page, the governor stated that the occupants of the vehicle were all doing well.
"My Chief of Staff Mr. Mwengi Mutuse’s Car was involved in an accident as part of a chain accident on Mombasa road, near Salama.
He is fine and his driver and other occupants have all been checked and are fine. We thank the Lord for keeping them safe," read a Facebook post.
On August 3, 2019, Kimilili MP, Hon. Didmus Barasa, was involved in a road accident.
According to reports, the accident occurred at Ndengelwa area along Malaba-Bumgoma-Webuye- Eldoret Highway.
The accident was reportedly caused by overspeeding but the lawmaker escaped with minor injuries.
The driver of the Toyota Prado veered off the road which resulted in the car rolling over several times.
"Sad news Kimilili MP Hon. Didmus Barasa involved in a Road accident at Ndengelwa. The good news is no injuries and we are all safe and sound. God is good," read a statement from the lawmaker's press team.
