How Joe Mwangi's Midnight Text to Uhuru Kept Wendy in School

Renowned gymnast Wendy Waeni's former manager, Joe Mwangi, stated that he assisted the 14-year-old girl get her school fees paid in January.

"Nilitext mzee wa state house saa sita usiku(I texted president Uhuru at 12 midnight), I told him that Wendy needed some school fees," he divulged.

He went ahead and alleged that the following day, the St.Georges High School principal was given a call by Interior Cabinet Secretary, Fred Matiang'i.

"She was directed to admit Wendy and was told that the school fees would be paid the following day. Ksh 53,000 was paid for a whole year," he told Chipukeezy.

During JKL show on Citizen TV, the 14-year-old gymnast had confirmed that her school fees was being paid by the CS.

She also disclosed that she had not received any money from Mwangi during all her performances.

"I have been performing all over the world Jeff. I know you know that. Right now, I live in Huruma because of Joe Mwangi. Jeff to be sincere with you, I've been performing all over like Rwanda, Germany, China and I haven't got a single penny. My mom is really suffering now as we talk. I know she's working right now, she sells sweets. I live in a single room in Huruma now Jeff," she spoke.

The gymnast also accused Joe of misusing her social media accounts, to engage in public spats, which made people think she was behind the controversial remarks.

"People are telling me I'm rude. People are telling me I'm a brat because I post things on Instagram which I don't know about Jeff. I don't have access to my social media accounts. Its Joe Mwangi who controls them," she protested.
