5 Stunning Traits Uhuru’s Wife Shares With Her Look-alike

You can easily mistake Margaret Aswani for First Lady Margaret Kenyatta, owing to their striking resemblance.

The two women, who share the same name, also share a slew of similarities despite not being related.

From sporting the same cropped grey hairstyle, spectacles and coming from a mixed-race family, you’ll instinctively have to take a second long glance just to tell them apart.

While Aswani’s mother hails from Gatundu and her father from Britain, the first lady’s father, Dr Njuguna Gakuo also hails from Gatundu and was married to Margaret’s mum, Magdalenna, a German.

Interestingly, the two also have three children, both a daughter and two sons.

Aswani has reportedly been turning many heads in the city, especially her customers, who flock her eatery, Pishon Restaurant, which is located along River Road. Many patronise her establishment just so they can get a look at her.

What's more, even traffic police officers are said to frequently salute Aswani.

Her restaurant offers a rich menu of pocket-friendly traditional delicacies which include ngwaci (sweet potatoes), nduma (arrow roots), sour porridge, yellow beans, njahi (black beans) and many more.

The businesswoman revealed to a local publication that she has brushed shoulders with the first family on more than one occasion.

President Uhuru Kenyatta once attended a church service at Faith Evangelistic Ministry in Karen, where she worships.

At a different occasion, Aswani met the first lady after a National Prayer Breakfast. She revealed that after exchanging pleasantries, Margaret acknowledged their uncanny resemblance.

Nonetheless, Aswani hopes that in the near future after her business has grown, she will get the opportunity to invite her lookalike so that they can share a meal.
