DCI Nab Witch Doctors After Ksh2 Million Con Game

DCI detectives, on Monday, arrested three suspects who were accused of defrauding a couple in Westlands, Nairobi County.

The suspects, Titus Fedha, Haji Shariff and Suleiman Mzava are reported to have conned the couple, Mr & Mrs. Harbanas Sign Sanata, Ksh2 million.

The trio had convinced the victims that they were in a position to expel witchcraft from the property that was being sold.

According to police, the suspects "are said to have visited the compound in Westlands area with a briefcase containing a snake and other witchcraft paraphernalia."

"The couple had been convinced that part of the Ksh2 million was meant to buy special oil to burn the snake," posted DCI onTwitter.

The police say that upon receiving the money, the suspects disappeared  prompting the victims to report the matter, Citizen Digital reports.

A search conducted at the house of Shariff in Kileleshwa managed to recover a suitcase containing witchcraft paraphernalia.

The three suspects are set to be charged with obtaining money by false pretences.
