K24 Anchor Confronts Governors for Wasting Her Time [VIDEO]

K24 news anchor, Rose Gakuo, on Thursday, expressed her frustration with governors who had called for press conference only to convene it two hours after the scheduled time.

Ms Gakuo, who was among journalists invited to cover a press conference by the council of governors, confronted the county heads and lectured them on time management.

In a 36 seconds video seen by Kenyans.co.ke, Ms Gakuo is seen addressing Kakamega Governor, Wycliffe Oparanya and Makueni Governor, Kivutha Kibwana on time management.

"The issue is not the time that your excellencies needed to address the county revenue bill and other important matters. The problem is the media invitation which invitation indicated we would begin at 12:30.

"Perhaps if we were told 2:00, we would have been here at that time and we would have made time, being told to wait for two hours is really unfair on our side," she remarked.

On his part, the COG chairman stated that there were matters that needed to be sorted out before the press briefing commenced.

Journalists were photographed sleeping on the floor as they got tired of waiting for the meeting to be called to order.

While addressing the media, the COG chairman announced a total shut down of counties starting mid next month if the stalemate between the Senate and the National Assembly in passing Division of Revenue Bill 2019 persisted.

“Beginning September 16, if the issue will not have been resolved we will have no option but to shut down all counties. County staff should not expect any salaries. Some have not been paid for two months now," he stated.
