Famous movie narrator James Muigai alias DJ Afro Amigos’ caused a stir in Bahati area of Vihiga County forcing the area MCA to come to the aid of one family.
Together with Inooro FM presenter Jeff Kuria, Amigos had travelled to the Western region to meet a boy who had imitated him.
The duo was accompanied by members of their crews to gift the young man for his talent.
Upon arrival at Madia Primary School in Vihiga, Kuria and Amigos were welcomed by a large crowd.
The pupils were also accompanied by their parents and the local leaders were not left behind, with the area chief also present.
After the welcome, the guests were served with some entertainment from the pupils in the form of dances and poems.
Then came the moment to shine for the guest of honour, the young man who had brought the famous DJ to his school.
He gave an inspirational speech, urging his fellow pupils to follow their passions, then went ahead to present a live ‘DJ Afro narration.”
The area MCA then took over and sent his regards to the team that visited the school.
He went on to reveal that he had visited the boys family and assessed the situation at home and was willing and ready to chip in.
The legislator promised to have the family's home connected with electricity and purchase a 32-inch TV for them, to ensure that the young man does not go to the neighbours to watch TV.
The legislator also stated that he would build a latrine since he noted that theirs was in a poor state.
The MCA then awarded the young man Ksh1,000, and Ksh 3,000 to his mother.
Finally, Jeff Kuria called the boy's father and handed him Ksh 14,000.
He also gifted the boy a new school uniform and shoes.
