DP Ruto Blasts Raila Over Referendum Talks [VIDEO]

Deputy President Wiliam Ruto, on Sunday, September 8, castigated former Prime Minister Raila Odinga regarding the referendum talks.

Speaking during a prayer service at Our Lady of Sorrows, Baricho Catholic Parish in Kirinyaga County, DP Ruto made it clear that the ODM party leader's move to have several changes made to the constitution was infuriating.

The country's second in command went on to ask the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) proponents to simply ask the ODM party leader what he wanted to be changed in order to save on time.

“BBI should ask him what he needs to be changed in the Constitution for him to accept the outcome of elections,” he remarked.

In his fiery address, DP Ruto singled out the one issue he felt was holding the country back from prosperity as the refusal to accept election results from a faction of people.

A statement which was perceieved to be aimed at Raila as he had contested several general election results in previous years,

The Jubilee party deputy leader went on to pledge his unflinching support for President Uhuru Kenyatta in the various development projects.

The Secretary of Innovation, Digital and Diaspora Communication in the Office of the President of the Republic of Kenya, Dennis Itumbi was quick to echo DP Ruto's sentiments, going on to ask Kenyans to ask Raila to change whatever parts of the constitution he saw fit, as they focused on the development agenda.

"Wananchi hawana matatizo na Katiba. Only one man has issues, endeni mumuulize maswali, loosely translating to Kenyans have no issues with the current constitution. Only one man has issues, go and ask him about it," Itumbi posted on his Instagram page.
