Uhuru's Cousin Among Guests at Cohen's Burial

Deceased tycoon Tob Cohen's body was, on Tuesday, September 24, finally laid to rest amidst a court battle pitting his kins against each other.

The burial took place at the Jewish Cemetery on Wangari Maathai Road in Nairobi and a number of prominent people attended the event.

According to a report by Daily Nation, President Uhuru Kenyatta's cousin, Ngengi Muigai was in attendance alongside Cohen's widow Sarah Wairimu who arrived shortly before 3pm.

Other leaders who were at the event included former government spokesperson Muthui Kariuki, Captain Kung'u Muigai and a number of officials from the Dutch Embassy.

Cohen's brother Benard, close family members and lawyers, Cliff Ombeta and Philip Murgor, were also present.

Cohen's sister Gabrielle Van Straten was, however, not present as she left the county on Saturday, September 21, for The Netherlands.

The event had been scheduled for Monday, September 23, but was postponed due to lack of a quorum of rabbis to oversee the ceremony, as per Jewish traditions.

The casket was lowered into its final resting place a few minutes past 5pm.

The tycoon made headlines after reports emerged that he had gone missing, before his body was discovered in a septic tank in his home, 60 days later.
