Four Dead, 16 Injured In Grisly Murang'a Road Crash

An accident that occurred at the Maragwa bridge on Murang'a-Kenol road, on Tuesday, September 24, has reportedly left four dead and 16 others injured.

The tragic accident occurred after a 14-seater matatu belonging to the Murang'a Superior Shuttle collided head-on with a lorry.

According to the latest reports, the matatu was making its way to Murang'a from Nairobi before the horrific accident occurred.

The collision occurred after the driver of the lorry lost control of the vehicle and drove into the lane that the matatu was using, Citizen Digital reported.

Murang’a County Police Commander, Josephat Kinyua, stated that one person died on the spot while the three others succumbed to injuries while being rushed to the Murang’a Level V Hospital.

Kinyua went on to confirm that the two vehicles were towed to Maragwa Police Station, adding that investigations into the accident had commenced.
