Malindi Member of Parliament, Aisha Jumwa, on Tuesday, October 1, caused quite a stir after she was pictured with ODM party leader Raila Odinga and Imran Okoth.
However, she has since come out to dismiss claims that she had ditched her close ally -Deputy President William Ruto.
Speaking during a meeting with the deputy president and Divine Church elders, the vocal legislator made it clear that she was tied to the country's second in command to the very end.
"Mimi nilisema naitwa sishuki. Hapo sikuongea chochote, nilivamiwa tu, loosely translating, I have always said I'm never jumping ship, I never spoke during the alleged reunion, they just ambushed me," she narrated.
This echoed her earlier statements in which she claimed that Raila simply waylaid her at her office, and introduced Imran to her, adding that the photos were taken and shared in a bid to create an illusion.
ODM party's head of communications, Philip Etale had sent out a statement alleging that Jumwa had once again switched sides, before going on to delete his tweet.
Ms Jumwa urged the religious leaders to ignore the rumours and focus on ensuring Mariga - who was also present during the meeting, clinched the parliamentary seat in the upcoming by-election.
Elgeyo Marakwet Senator, Kipchumba Murkomen, was quick to ridicule the opposition party following the fake post.
"Recently my friend and client Hon Aisha Jumwa was being threatened with expulsion by ODM now they are falling over themselves to greet her and to get her endorsement for Kibra.
"Meanwhile, they poached Jubilee nominated MP to campaign for them while accusing Aisha of lacking loyalty," he mockingly stated.
