Uhuru's Warm Message at His Political Teacher's Funeral

During the burial of Daniel Kasirimo ole Muyaa, a former chairman of the defunct OlKejuado County Council, President Uhuru Kenyatta tributed him as a leader who stood for national values; peace and unity.

In a statement sent to newsrooms on Saturday, October 5, the president stated that Ole Munya had mentored and ushered him into elective politics.

He also stated that the late was a close family friend.

“I have known him for many years as a friend and political teacher. He loved peace and unity," the president stated.

Further, President Kenyatta mentioned that ole Muyaa's contribution to national cohesion could be seen in the way he participated in laying the foundation for Kajiado to become a peaceful and progressive cosmopolitan county.

“Kajiado has never had any ethnic tensions and this is as a result of the leadership of people like ole Muyaa,” he remarked.

The head of state urged leaders to emulate the late civic leader and several of his peers.

Among other leaders that attended the function are; Former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka, Kajiado Governor Joseph ole Lenku, Kajiado East MP Peris Tobiko and COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli.
