Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi has appealed to President Uhuru Kenyatta to fire Gender CAS Rachel Shebesh from his government.
Speaking to journalists on Monday, October 7, Sudi stated that Shebesh and Nairobi County Assembly Speaker Beatrice Elachi were defaming the government.
"I want to tell His Excellency President Uhuru Kenyatta to kindly help us. Shebesh should not work with any government. For Elachi, both Kenyans and MCA's do not want her in the government. These are people who are defaming the government," he remarked.
Further, Sudi emphasized that the two should not force themselves to do work that they have not been called to do.
The lawmaker also talked about a viral video where Shebesh and former Mungiki leader Maina Njenga were seen addressing a group of youth in Laikipia.
"Kama kuna maneno ya mungiki, nataka nikwambie Shebesh utakuwa responsible (I will hold Shebesh accountable in case of the re-emergence of mungiki)," he stated.
The former Nairobi woman representative had earlier urged those who were incriminating her about the video to stop.
"I was in Laikipia in my residence, and many youths came to see me. The other people who are in that room who are not shown in the video are seven MCA's from Laikipia, some women from Nairobi who I had travelled with and my mother who is a reverend of the ACK church," she spoke.
She added that she did nothing in secrecy as she was aware that a video was being captured.
"I knew that video was being taken and that's why I was speaking, I did not do anything in hiding," she stated.
