Atwoli Publicly Confronts MP for Supporting Ruto [VIDEO]

Central Organisation of Trade Unions (COTU) Secretary-General, Francis Atwoli, on Sunday, October 13, publicly challenged Emuhaya MP Omboko Milemba for supporting Deputy President William Ruto.

Speaking at Bukwala SDA Church where he presided over a funds drive, the 69-year-old trade unionist jokingly warned Milemba for backing the DP's presidential ambitions.

Atwoli categorically told the legislator, who is also the Chairman of Kenya Union of Post-Primary Education Teachers (KUPPET), that he would not be re-elected if he maintained his political stand.

"Tell him that if he continues to support Ruto, I'll eject him from office. You can't get a seat in this part of the country without my blessing.

"People are lying to themselves that Luhyas are divided. They are not. It's the leaders who are squabbling," he remarked.

Atwoli also claimed that all church leaders who had taken Ruto's donations were now living in torment.

"All those who accepted Ruto's money have known no peace within their families," he asserted.

He went on to question the DP's source of wealth, on the premise that he was simply too young to have attained his current multibillionaire status.

"This guy (Ruto) was born in 1966 while I started working in 1967. I have worked for 52 years, why haven't I attained the multi-billionaire status," he posed.
