The president of any country has to live up to the standards that come up with the title.

One such president is Uhuru Kenyatta, who uses a plane estimated to be worth over Ksh2 billion.

The aircraft, which exudes class and extravagance is a Fokker 70 ER executive jet. It has a speed of 845km per hour and a range of 3,410km.

Managed by Kenya Air Force, the plane was acquired in 1995 to boost VVIP transport.

The aircraft, which creates an aura of class and sophistication, can hold up approximately 72 to 85 passengers but only carries to a capacity of 10.

The medium-sized plane was made in the Netherlands and it is believed that its cabin crew is trained abroad.

It is considered as one of the most expensive presidential jets in Africa.

Retired President Daniel Arap Moi was the first president in Kenya to use the aircraft on January 26, 1996.

He was on a journey to an official function in Uganda.
