Embakasi East MP Paul Ongili alias Babu Owino on Friday, October 25, shared a different side of him with the public when he posted a video of a father-daughter moment on his social media pages.
Known for his abrasive and bare-knuckled political nature, it came as a surprise to many when he posted the video of him shirtless, feeding his little daughter.
He had captioned the video 'Breakfast with my daughter', immediately sending social media users into a frenzy.
Some individuals were quick to point out that moments of such interactions between fathers and their children had become a rarity, as many men were leaving such roles to women, while others pointed out what they deemed as mistakes.
"Nice. Some so-called Waheshimiwas have no time for their children.. but you seem different," a user reacted.
"Times are hard, affording food but not a feeder! Anyway, your left hand served the purpose," a user jibed.
"I was waiting for that part where you get to eat the babies food in the name of tasting," another joked.
Other social media users were quick to read the political script, insinuating that his heartwarming action was a key indicator of how he conducted his political affairs in his constituency and the country.
"This is how I see you feed the Nairobians. From 2022, the journey will be unstoppable. A mushroom can never be barred from sprouting," one stated.
"My vigilant MP next time feed that future first lady with the smaller spoon.TIBIIM," another reacted.
Some users took the opportunity to share their personal experiences with children, congratulating Babu for what they called an arduous task of raising children.
"Parenthood ain't an easy task, she is almost my daughter's age," one user shared.
"I can see of all units amongst your four degrees, you took Parenting 101 seriously. Kudos," another user commented alluding to the fact that the MP has four university degrees.
"Good parenting. This is what parents should do with their children, and that's final!" another stated.
