2 Police Officers Shot Dead in City Ambush

  • Two police officers were on Friday, November 8, shot dead in an ambush at Nairobi's Obama Estate, as they were going about their duties. 

    A police report seen by Kenyans.co.ke revealed that the officers were patrolling Mwengenye area when they were attacked by armed criminals.

    Kayole OCPD Wilson Kosgey confirmed the incident adding that a hunt was ongoing for the unknown assailants.

    “One police officer was shot on the chest and the other on the head," the police report stated.

    The incident allegedly occurred at 4:00 am near the Saika-Dandora Bridge.

    The gang made away with their firearms, police pocket phone, mobile phones and other personal items.

    Five cartridges were recovered at the scene and investigations are currently ongoing.

    The two officers were attached to Obama Police Post at Kayole Police Station.
