Former majority leader in the County Assembly of Nairobi, Abdi Guyo, on Thursday, November 14, made fresh graft allegations against Governor Mike Sonko.
Speaking during a morning show on Radio Maisha, the Matopeni MCA disclosed that he had a dossier he would present to the Director of Criminal Investigations George Kinoti.
"We won't take the dossier to the EACC because he has previously lamented about the agency so that investigations can begin," Guyo stated.
Further, he stated that the governor had stolen funds from the county government, claiming that he was present during one of the instances.
"The governor portrays himself as one who is against corruption while calling other people the cartels.
"There was a time that all we would see on TV was the governor visiting construction sites and halting the process but if you clearly check, not a single house has been brought down since then. Why haven't the houses been brought down?" Guyo wondered.
He went ahead and stated that he was present when the Nairobi County boss allegedly took a Ksh15 million bribe from a Nairobi resident whose house had been earmarked for demolition in Gigiri.
"I was there when the Indian gave money to him, so it is not a story, I was there," Guyo stated.
Guyo was officially kicked out from the position of majority leader in the County Assembly of Nairobi on Tuesday, November 12.
However, speaking to Kenyans.co.ke, Nairobi County's Communications Director, Jacob Elkana, maintained that the governor was focusing on President Uhuru Kenyatta's big 4 agenda and did not have time for politics.
"Those are last kick of a dying horse, we are focused on service delivery and not engaging busy bodies plus buttinsky people.
"H.E the Governor has a lot in mind on matters ensuring that Nairobians get good health services, quality education, Big 4 agenda which was initiated by President Uhuru Kenyatta among other crucial issues," he remarked.
