Senior Counsel Ahmednasir Abdullahi on Wednesday, November 27, took to Twitter to shower President Uhuru Kenyatta with praise on his handling of the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI).
Ahmednasir claimed that the president had played his cards right and had some peace to work on his legacy while at the same time keeping his deputy William Ruto and political rival Raila Odinga busy.
The senior counsel stated that the president kept his rival closer by engaging with him to form the BBI while shutting out his deputy from the same.
"When Hon Raila was shouting himself hoarse about the content of the BBI he just had zero Idea/Intel on the true content. When Hon Ruto was threatening brimstone and fire about the BBI he had zero idea/Intel on the true content. Only H.E Uhuru was in the loop," he stated
Upon the release of the BBI report on Tuesday, November 26, Ahmednasir claimed that the document favoured his partner Ruto far much more than it did Raila.
"H.E Uhuru gave Hon Raila Co-ownership of the BBI reports but denies him political benefits. H.E Uhuru shut out Hon Ruto of the BBI process but clears his path for 2022. In essence, H.E Uhuru says 'Jubilee...Kumi tena'," Ahmednasir stated.
He went on to state that the change of tune by DP Ruto's allies further proved that the president was a genius as he had the entire political class behind the proposal unless Raila and his team moved to the opposite side.
"I think this tweet by Kipchumba Murkomen is a game-changer unless ODM swings in the opposite direction the political class will be 100 per cent united behind BBI...Give credit to H.E Uhuru," he replied to a tweet by Murkomern in support of BBI.
He further claimed that all signs and reactions to the documents proved that the president was a political genius.
"H.E Uhuru is a political genius...look at the way he handled the BBI...boy..o...boy," the senior counsel concluded
