ODM MP Builds 39 Houses for The Less Fortunate [PHOTOS]

Rarieda MP Otiende Amollo has impressed his constituents following his kind gesture of elevating the living conditions of the less fortunate by building them better shelters.

Through his Twitter page on November 30, Otiende took to post his 39th house project in Siger within West Asembo Ward.

“Was happy to do the 39th modest improvement of Mama Benter Achieng Moi, a Widow, in Siger, West Asembo. Now only one shy of the self-imposed target of 40 before the end of the year. Thank you all who assisted,” read the tweet.

The MP is known for participating in the construction as photos show him working hand in hand with the locals in fueling his humanitarian agenda.

Otiende’s initiative started after clinching the seat whereby he has undertaken to rebuild grass-thatched houses.

Another beneficiary of the MP's project is Mama Millicent Otieno and her husband.

Locals and other followers have been on the forefront praising Otiende’s acts terming them as the best way to reach the hearts of many.

Joseph Silver wrote, "Today I want to celebrate Rarieda MP Otiende Amollo for the good work he is doing through Ondoa Nyasi project. The project is aimed at replacing grass-thatched houses for poor families which cannot afford better housing structure with iron sheets ones."

"Congrats Sir! I wish we had more of you in Nyanza...let's say Kisumu County,” Dhima commented

"Wakili this is the change we yearn for. One hundred years from today, leaders who will build brick houses for locals will look back at what you did for inspiration,” Wakao told the MP.

Tabitha Kanyungu weighed in that, "Such things make me cry. I know how it feels when anybody makes your children feel better..good work Hon.”

The MP clinched the Rarieda Constituency seat in 2017, after vying for the first time on an ODM Party ticket.

He is also known for having served as the Judiciary ombudsman.
