The greatest marathoner of all time, Eliud Kipchoge, was on Saturday, November 30, treated to an exclusive experience by Mercedes-AMG formula one team.
In pictures posted by the marathoner and the company, Kipchoge was seen enjoying a ride in one of the high-speed vehicles.
"This guy (Eliud Kipchoge) hanging out with running royalty this weekend!" captioned the Mercedes company on Twitter.
On his part, Kipchoge also took to his social media to thank the vehicle manufacturer for the rare opportunity.
"Thank you for this unforgettable experience. Talk about going fast," Kipchoge expressed.
Formula one is the highest class of single-seater auto racing which is sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) and owned by the Formula One Group.
The 34-year-old athlete has been widely recognized due to his achievements.
On October 12, 2019, he made history after he became the first human to run a 42-kilometre marathon in under two hours (1:59:40).
The love for Formula 1 in Kenya has developed largely by the young and savvy fans who want to travel and experience the glamorous and high-speed event first-hand.
