Chris Kirubi & Kipchoge Team Up for New Project

Billionaire Chris Kirubi, on Tuesday, December 3, hinted that legendary marathoner Eliud Kipchoge, might have a new project up his sleeve.

While hosting the record-breaking marathoner at his home, the tycoon revealed that Kipchoge is looking into ways in which he can uplift Kenyan talents to international status.

The billionaire further explained that they both believed that there was a great pool of talent in the country which needed to be better nurtured.

"Today I was honored to host the iconic Eliud Kipchoge at my home. We talked about how he can promote Kenya through sports and mentor other young athletes.

"We both believe we have untapped talents in sports that if well nurtured can create employment," posted the tycoon.

Kirubi is known for his passion for empowering the youth, and has set aside a section of his Thursdays where engages them under the hashtag AskKirubi.

“People say I am one of the richest people in Kenya, but that’s not my concern. I mean, they say I am a god of sorts, but I don’t agree.

“When I look around at my companies and see the number of people we have employed, it gives me joy. It is more satisfying than having all the money in the world," Kirubi told Forbes Magazine in a 2011 interview.

Kipchoge had earlier on joined his wife, Grace Sugutt and First Lady Margaret Kenyatta for a morning run outside State House.

The first lady launched the 2020 edition of Beyond Zero Half Marathon at the presidential residence, Nairobi.
