Tony Gachoka, Junet Gang Up Against Murkomen [VIDEO]

Media personality Tony Gachoka and Suna East MP Junet Mohammed mocked Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen over his tirade at Bomas of Kenya during the unveiling of the BBI report on Wednesday, November 27.

Gachoka, who hosted Mohammed on KTN News' Pointblank on Wednesday, December 4, compared Murkomen's travails at the Bomas of Kenya to the late Minister George Saitoti's embarrassment by Moi in 2002.

Gachoka narrated that Saitoti had been promised the KANU vice presidency seat after Moi's term came to an end, but things turned out different for him, sending the former VP into a spiral of emotions.

"When Saitoti went to Kasarani, things were not the way they had appeared that morning when having breakfast with Moi. When he took the microphone, he said 'there come [sic] a time when the nation is more important than an individual'. My brother, Junet, when Murkomen took the microphone at Bomas, did there come a time?" Gachoka posed.

Mohammed stated that the response from those gathered at Bomas was a pointer that time had indeed come for Murkomen to realize that the country was bigger than he was.

"That day, Murkomen came to face with the fact that the country had moved on and was not interested in the shenanigans that he was presenting," Mohammed told Gachoka.

Mohammed, who was the emcee during the BBI event, had riled Murkomen with what the Elgeyo Marakwet senator found to be a lopsided list of individuals who were called to address the gathering.

His protest over the list of speakers did not go well with some delegates who booed asked him to get off the stage.

Junet told Gachoka that Murkomen was out of order on that day by bringing his personal vendetta to the event that had the entire leadership of the country meeting in unity.

"The country's leadership, including Musalia Mudavadi, Gideon Moi, Moses Wetangula, Kalonzo Musyoka and many others were in attendance. When you tell us that so and so is fighting the presidency and such, we were not interested in such matters," Junet stated.
