Jubilee MP Explains Heartfelt Meaning Behind His Unusual Uniform

Jubilee Party Nominated Member of the National Assembly David Ole Sankok has finally revealed the meaning behind his unique choice of predominantly green attires that he dons.

Taking to Facebook, the outspoken leader disclosed that he made the choice largely because of his love for the environment that has undergone massive degradation over the decades.

For several years now, the lawmaker has made a statement with his green suits that spot Kenyan flag stripes which are central to his subtle messaging.

"My green suit signifies the need to conserve our environment by planting more trees not only in government-gazetted forests but also in our private lands.

"The flag stripes signify the need for Kenyans to be patriotic because fate and destiny brought us together within Kenya boundaries," explained Sankok.

The legislator accompanied the post with a video where he urges the state to take advantage of the ongoing rains. He regretted the lack of an comprehensive plan by the government to harvest rain water during the wet season.

"I wish the government constructed dams so that the water is made useful to the residents here. As you have seen, several houses have been submerged in water and for now, the water flows freely to Ewaso Nyiro River before eventually going to Tanzania.

"If we could control the water, it would help us in the future. I urge Maasai to plant trees because they help in breaking water speed. Mau Forest is not enough," he urged.

In a 2018 post, the leader revealed that he was also an environmental conservation campaigner.

In an interview with Radio Maisha, he urged Kenyans to emulate his environmental conservation efforts and help reduce the effects of environmental degradation.
