Jubilee MP Dares Uhuru to Dissolve Govt Over 'War Cries' in Mt Kenya

A Jubilee Party MP, on Friday, January 3, dared President Uhuru Kenyatta to dissolve the government, citing wrangles in Central Kenya.

In a sit-down with KTN News, Lugari MP Ayub Savula expressed dismay on how leaders from the region were attacking the president and urged him to crack the whip on them.

He went as far as to liken the politicians with goons, despising them for displaying their wrangles publicly instead of solving their issues within the party.

"I am so dismayed by the fact that the Central Kenya MPs are behaving like hired goons, worse than hired goons, and we want to know who is hiring them.

"They have no respect for the office of the president and the home of the presidency is in Central Kenya. If from Central Kenya we are hearing war cries. Uhuru was not elected for the people of Central Kenya," he stated.

He further called for the leaders to respect the head of state and give him time to deliver his agenda.

"The office of the presidency must be respected. Today it is Uhuru, tomorrow it might be Savula and the other day it might be Wahome. Why abuse the head of state every time? If you have your own issues in Central Kenya, sort it out inhouse," he passionately continued.

Savula, however, pointed out that the government was facing wrangles and revolts, largely because President Kenyatta was not strong enough.

"Sometimes I think President Uhuru is not a serious guy in tackling minute war cries from the village. Uhuru should now crack the whip," he continued.

These sentiments come a day after Kandara MP Alice Wahome, a strong ally of Deputy President William Ruto, claimed that the head of state was an existential threat to Kenya's economy.

Wahome explained that the head of state had failed in steering the country's economy in a desirable direction.

"I want to tell Kenyans that the biggest existential threat to Kenya's declining economy, democracy, freedom of speech and political association is Uhuru Kenyatta because he is on the driver's seat.

"Raila Odinga (former prime minister) is his new machinery for hire and the BBI report is the special purpose vehicle," she disclosed.
