Passaris Ksh50M Investment Ignites War With King Kaka

Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris, on Monday, January 6, renewed a spat with rapper Paul Ombima, popularly known as King Kaka, over a Ksh50 million investment.

In an earlier Twitter rant, Passaris had disclosed to a fan that she invested in the upwards of Ksh50 million for her election and managed to clinch the Woman Rep seat.

"I invested 50 million to be elected a leader. I served way before being elected. At 55 (I am) officially made of titenium [sic] because of sacrifices I made," she told a fan who had enquired about why she sought medical services in India.

Several Kenyans, including King Kaka, took an issue with her revelation and advised her to pay more attention to the improvement of the healthcare in Kenya.

"Esther Passaris shame shame Shame. The talk should be on how we have made our health reliable to the point you are getting your surgery at KNH. Wewe Uko Hapo unatuambia juu ya Ksh50million (Yet you are busy updating us about Ksh50 million).

"Stop being selfish for once, just for once and serve the people who put you there. Shame," he blasted her.

Not known to take criticisms lying down, Passaris retaliated challenging King Kaka to take action. He further accused the rapper of using hate in his attempt to drive change.

"You are so 'full and fooled' by yourself. 'Words' can instruct but they don't do the work or lead. Let me spell it as it is. Get off your high horse & stop being who you truly are Wajinga Nyinyi who thinks through hate you can drive or derive change. I have worked and served," she stated.

This latest exchange between the two was, however, not their first public spat over leadership.

On Saturday, December 14, the rapper released a spoken word production titled 'Wajinga Nyinyi' mocking leaders and Kenyans alike over the poor state of democracy.

Shortly after its release, Passaris took an issue with the rapper accusing him of being ignorant of the Woman Rep position and narrowed down on the sanitary towels' distribution processes.

“He [King Kaka] has no idea that we do not control the sanitary towels budget, we only aided the distribution (not all counties received) with the county communications office and all the area chiefs. We as women reps have also been following up sanitary towels with the current line Ministry Education,” she stated

The rapper, however, fired back challenging Passaris to give the details of individuals pocketing the money meant for sanitary towels.

“Funny thing is you are aware of the paper trail yet our girls are not getting the pads. So who is taking that money yet the government authorised the project. I am not fighting anyone I just want the people to get what’s theirs, you were elected to represent us,” argued King Kaka.
