Uhuru's Joke Leaves Delegates in Stitches [VIDEO]

President Uhuru Kenyatta left delegates in stitches during the UK-Africa Investment Summit in London on Tuesday, January 21, 2020, when he imitated international reporters.

Speaking during the summit, the president criticised that international media houses portrayed African countries in negative light.

"Sometimes you watch the news, which I have stopped watching and you find Al Jazeera, CNN, Sky, BBC, whichever you will flip to, talking about something that has happened in Rwanda, South Sudan, Ethiopia, Somalia, even Nigeria on the other side of the continent.

"And then, when the guy is signing off, (imitating reporters) 'This is John White, reporting from Nairobi, Kenya'," Uhuru stated as the delegates burst out laughing.

"The thing that sticks on people's minds is Nairobi, Kenya where there is hunger and starvation just because the reporter used it while signing out," he continued.

In conclusion, the head of state asked delegates to understand that every African country was unique.

The president's trip to the UK reached new heights after British Prime Minister Boris Johnson publicized details of his country's new deal with Kenya.

A joint statement by the two revealed details of a new deal set to run from 2020 to 2025.

"We will work together across five pillars – mutual prosperity, security and stability, sustainable development, climate change, and people to people," read an excerpt of their joint statement.

Uhuru also secured various investments worth Ksh170 billion aimed at uplifting different sectors in the country as well as creating employment.
