Citizen TV's Linus Kaikai Mocks US TV Station After Absurd Locust Report

Citizen TV director of strategy and innovation Linus Kaikai on Sunday, January 26, mocked a popular US TV station over an appalling report.

Taking to Twitter, the station, CBS News, reported on the ongoing locust invasion in Kenya to its elite audience in an eye-brow raising word-play that caused an uproar.

"Locust outbreak in Kenya is worst in 70 years: 'Even cows are wondering what is happening', " shared the station.

Kaikai later went after the media house with a cheeky comment insinuating that the broadcaster had tapped a new source of information from his Maasai community.

CBS News headquarters in New York, USA.

"Kenya is home to my cattle-adoring Maasai people that always believe cows to hold and express their own opinions! Your coverage of those bovine views is a major milestone in ending centuries of media discrimination of cows!" shared the famed media personality.

In their report, CBS News had quoted a resident in the Maasai area while detailing how the invasion was the worst in 70 years, pointing out that a small swarm of locust was enough to wipe out food for up to 35,000 people.

"Even cows are wondering what is happening. Corn, sorghum, cowpeas, they have eaten everything," the outlet quoted Ndunda Makanga.

Taking to Twitter, other users, who were seemingly taken aback, replied to the station with memes which suggested how the reporter interviews the animals.

"Who interviewed the cows?" wondered a user.

"Kenyan cows boarding a direct flight to New York to challenge this piece of news and give their correct stand on the same," joked J.H. Kariuki.
