Neno Evangelism Pastor James Ng'ang'a, on Sunday, February 2, issued a warning to Kenya Railways Corporation (KRC) managing director Philip Mainga over a claim on his land where his main church in Nairobi stands.
This followed a letter sent by the KRC boss to the church, informing them that the land located along Haile Selassie Avenue belonged to the corporation.
However, in his rejoinder, the controversial pastor rubbished the letter and vowed never to vacate the premises.
“I swear before God, hutabakisha hata mjukuu duniani hapa, (we will not leave even one grandchild alive on the face of the earth),” the tough-talking Bishop vowed during his Sunday sermon.
“Will I keep issuing blessings? We also curse. It is inconceivable that people wake up to joke with a man of God. Which God are you playing with?” he posed.
Pastor Ng'ang'a went on to explain that he had bought the piece of land legally from the Central Bank of Kenya after the previous owner defaulted on loan payments.
“The owner of this field had a bank that borrowed money from the Central Bank. The bank went under and Central Bank seized its property which it sold to get money to pay back depositors,” he narrated to the congregation.
He dared the state corporation to go ahead and try to falsify the documents pertaining to the prime piece of property if they wanted to face God's wrath.
“You can go and change (the registration documents) if you are man enough, go and backdate and say it belongs to the railways,” he dared the agency boss.
Mainga - in his demand letter to the church, had ordered that Ng’ang’a surrenders to Kenya Railways all the documents pertaining to the "irregular" allocation of the property.
The latest saga comes at a time when the pastor had unveiled plans to build a multi-storey building dubbed Neno Tower.
