An outbreak of a strange disease that is affecting children has residents in a village in TransNzioa County worried, after it resulted to the death of five children.
Residents of Mwamba village in Chepchoina, are struggling to come to terms with the illness that presents itself with malaria-like symptoms.
Its been three weeks of torture for the village as the disease continues to affect the children.
According to K24, 15 children are currently hospitalized with the disease.
The villagers are now desperate, calling on officials to help them.
Residents complain that the situation has been made worse because they can not access any medical care.
The nearest medical center is reportedly kilometers away.
County Health officials say tests will be carried out to determine what the disease is.
