Never before in our existence have humans been able to immortalise moments in their lives as has been done since the camera phone was invented - with the smartphone, all sorts of seemingly unusual idiosyncrasies have been recorded, shared and viewed millions of times across the world - in the process, several mishaps have been captured.

One video which surfaced online on Wednesday, February 26, a passenger recorded his driver crash a Bentley Continental GT valued at approximately Ksh28 million.

In the video that has since gone viral, the driver appears to be driving the expensive luxury car at high speed before losing control of the car which then flips before coming to a halt.

There is brief confusion in the car before the duo is heard cursing then attempting to pull themselves out of the car.

Images widely shared on social media show the mangled wreckage of the luxury car that netizens predict will be declared a write-off.

From the brief clip, it is not apparent whether they sustained serious injuries but it appears they were able to pull themselves out of the wreckage by shattering the windshield as seen towards the end of the video.

According manufacturer's website, the Continental GT contained 'clean, superformed lines and a wide, low body, evoking a sense of speed and presence.'

"On unlocking the car, a pre-programmed sequence of exterior lighting welcomes you. To complement the car’s striking interior design, the interior mood lighting (fitted as standard) can be configured to your preference."

A section of Kenyans, however, took an issue with the duo's flagrant disregard of safety measures including failure to wear seatbelts.

"There is a reason why a safety belt in a car is more important than your pants belt," stated Chris Kirwa.

"Taking safety for granted only ends in tears," warned Issa Mohammed.
