A 23-year-old woman by the name Lucia Ayiela has once again torn into President Uhuru Kenyatta in a hard-hitting video shared on her social media pages.
Ayiela, who is not new to shooting videos and relaying her thoughts on social media, asked the president to resign in a clip that has since garnered over 13,000 views.
"The demolitions without an alternative for the thousands of families in Kariobangi is proof enough of your failure to uphold your oath.
"Mr President, in the court of public opinion, this is a crime against humanity. Those 5,000 Kenyans who are now homeless risk being brutally arrested or killed for breaking curfew laws," she stated.
In the video, Ayiela explained that Kenyans had watched as mothers who voted for the president lose their children due to police brutality.
She observed that the killings were against Article 26 of the Constitution, which prohibited anyone against taking the right to life.
"We are fighting a health pandemic, not a terrorist attack Mr President. Young people in this country make up 75% of the population.
"We add up to roughly 20 million young energetic, hungry, unemployed, frustrated, idle, targeted, victimized and criminalized Kenyans yet you still oppress us and suppress us," she continued.
She claimed that a majority of Kenyans had lost hope in the leadership of the president.
"Mr President, what happens if the poor have nothing else to eat?... You seem not to care," she accused.
She concluded by asking the president to resign and let someone who was capable of ruling the country to take up the leadership position.
This is not the first time the 23-year-old is asking the president to resign for his leadership skills.
Ayiela's video came a day after 8,000 residents of Kariobangi Sewage Estate in Nairobi were left homeless following the demolition of their homes.
