Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi, landed himself in hot water on Saturday, May 16, after claiming that the identity of Chris Msando's killers would soon be revealed

Alego-Usonga Member of Parliament Samuel Atandi called for the immediate arrest of his Kapseret counterpart and asked the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to use him to find the truth behind the slain Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) ICT Manager, Msando.

“The late Msando's family and children have been looking for the killers. The leaders who have claimed they know his killers should have been arrested with immediate effect,” he stated.

"We want these MPs to help us wipe the tears of Msando's wife, his children and distraught family," he added.

Msando's gruesome murder shook the country back in 2017 after his autopsy revealed that he was tortured and strangled to death before his body was dumped in Muguga Forest, Kiambu County.

However, despite investigations into the high-profile case seemingly hitting a brick wall, Sudi claimed that he would soon reveal the individual behind the heinous crime.

"Itafika mahali tutasema ni nani aliua Msando, kwani kukufa ni nini, sisi hatuogopi (there will come a time when we will reveal who killed Msando, we are not afraid to die), he stated during a press conference.

Sudi was flanked by Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri, whose own remarks could also land him in trouble.

"Those people who are dying due to diseases like asthma and HIV/AIDS are placed under the coronavirus death category so that the numbers continue to rise as they plan how to prolong their stay in power. One day we shall reveal the truth," he claimed.

The vocal legislators allied to Deputy President William Ruto had also claimed that some of them were being trailed by unknown individuals in a bid to intimidate them.

However, Atandi urged DCI Director George Kinoti to apprehend Sudi to shed more light to the unsolved Msando murder case.

Msando's body was discovered on July 31, 2017, next to the corpse of a woman in a forest on the outskirts of Nairobi.

His widow, Eva Buyu, has been calling for justice and answers to bring her some much-needed closure ever since, with no success.

“We leave it to the government and probably hope and pray that we will get closure. But it’s been one year of anguish,” she stated during a memorial service to remember her late husband held in July 2018.
