Citizen TV News Anchor Jeff Koinange is among the few Kenyan TV journalists known for their charisma just as they are for their talent.

The news anchor is also known for his playful love for children, which probably explains why he was captured goofing around the station's studio with his colleague Mashirima Kapombe's son.

Kapombe shared a clip online on Monday, February 1, showing the celebrated news anchor playing around the studio with the child.

The two are heard repeatedly uttering the anchor's signature phrase 'Oh My' before high-fiving in wild excitement.

According to Kapombe, her son was so elated with the encounter and went on to brand her as the best mother.

She also noted that Koinange had set the tempo for her son's birth month on a high note.

"Happy new month! Kenga's birthday month and Jeff Koinange  just kicked it off on a high!

"On our way home Kenga said, 'You're the best mommy! I'm proud of you!' I said, 'oh thanks honey. Do we need to buy a toy now?' He said, "uuhmmm... no... but it's important we get the toy too,'" shared Kapombe.

Known for his brand of political interviews, Koinange has been changing up the prime time bench to accommodate people of all ages.

In August 2019, Koinange hosted three children with unique talents namely Wendy Waeni, a gymnast, Ellyanne Githae, an environmental enthusiast and Leyla Mohammed, a musician.

The three narrated their struggles both professionally and in their personal lives.

So powerful was the episode that it led to the arrest of Waeni’s former manager Joseph Mwangi after being accused of forgery and threatening Wendy’s mum Magdalene Mbele.

Wendy accused her manager of exploiting her talent for selfish reasons, during an interview on Jeff Koinange's live show.
