"Members of the public are advised to use alternative routes," warned a witness.
In one of the clips, the students are seen chasing after a motorcycle that attempted to manouver its way through the University Way.
Police officers, however, interrupted the demonstrations and hurled teargas at the rioting students dispersing them.
According to reports, the First Year student committed suicide by jumping from the top of Hall Seven at the institution's Chiromo Hostel.
The students subsequently took to the streets to express their anger at the manner in which the authorities handled the matter.
It was, however, not clear what pushed the student to jump to his death.
