The National Police Service has announced candidates who have been shortlisted for the NPS cadet inspectors position through an announcement made in newspapers on March 16, 2021.
The applicants who applied for the position between February 2 and February 15 can check if they qualified for the position through the National Police Service Recruitment portal.
The interviews will be conducted from March, Monday 22 to Thursday 25 at the Police Pavilion in South C from 8 a.m.
Shortlisted candidates are required to report at the venue at 6 a.m. for registration, verification and logistical preparedness.
Candidates are required to bring their National Identity (ID) card, academic and professional certificates, valid police clearance certificates, certificate of affiliation to a professional body and other testimonials.
Adherence to Covid-19 government regulations and protocols is a must and all the candidates must adhere to the laid down rules.
NPS shortlisted the candidates pursuant to Article 246(3) and (4) as read with Articles 10;27(8) and the 232 of the Constitution of Kenya; Sections 10,11 and 12 of the National Police Service and Section 7(3) of the National Service Commission (Recruitment and Appointment Regulations 2015.
Speaking during the announcement of the requirement exercise, Inspector General (IG) of Police Hillary Mutymbai said that the exercise aimed at recruiting constables and cadets.
More than 30,000 Kenyans applied for the position through the National Police Service commission portal.
The commission in the last three years has reported a loss of over 2,000 officers annually due to factors like injury while on duty and resignation of officers.
