Kenyan radio presenter Felix Odiwuor, commonly known as Jalang'o, left a mother in tears after he gifted her disabled daughter a wheelchair.

The woman said she had been praying for a miracle since 2019, which is why she could not hold back her tears of joy when her prayer was finally answered through Jalang'o.

The mother went down her knees and thanked Jalang'o for the life-changing gift to her daughter.

“Thank you so much for feeling my pain as a mother. I have sought help since 2019 and not even one person came through until I met Jalang’o, and he heard my cry,” she said.

A number of Kenyan celebrities have over the years been showing acts of kindness to people in the country, most especially the less fortunate.

For some, they have paid their medical bills, and for others, they have presented them with employment opportunities or capital to start a business and grow themselves.

Just recently, radio presenter Jalang’o rallied up his close friends and other Kenyans of goodwill to raise funds to pay for the medical treatment of a Kenyan youth.

Harun Gatari needed Ksh 5 million to be able to access treatment for a growth condition on his hands and legs.

Ksh 2 million had been raised by well-wishers, which left him short of Ksh3 million.

Jalang’o, while speaking in his Bonga na Jalas show, made a rallying call to his media counterparts and close friends to help raise the Ksh3 million.

After reaching out to many people, Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho, Media celebrity and news anchor Betty Kyalo, Kiss FM Presenter Kamene Goro, Milele FM Presenter Alex Mwakideu, politician cum lawyer Karen Nyamu among others managed to raise money for Gatari’s medical expenses.
