The Central Organization of Trade Unions (COTU) Secretary General, Francis Atwoli, has been spotted shopping in Egypt.

In a video shared by his wife and KTN news anchor, Mary Kilobi, on Monday, September 20, Atwoli is seen buying some clothes in the company of a friend.

While shopping, the COTU boss breaks into dance while his Kilobi records him.

Amidst laughter from both Atwoli and Kilobi, the COTU boss can be seen receiving some clothes from a shop attendant.

"Hon Koyoo and SG himself shopping in style," Kilobi captioned the video followed by a laughing emoji.

On September 7, Atwoli left the country for Seychelles for a continental meeting with Federation of Workers' Unions officials from the government.

"The Secretary General is set to meet both the Seychelles Federation of Workers' Unions and the newly elected government and understand the relationship between the two social partners."

"This assignment follows an invitation by the union requesting him to come to enlighten the newly elected government on the role of trade unions as champions of social justice and the role of government as a regular and a guarantor of industrial peace," COTU wrote.

It is not clear whether he has been in Seychelles all through or jetted back into the country before heading to Egypt accompanied by Kilobi.

The outspoken COTU boss fell in love with Kilobi in 2016.

Kilobi had initially turned down his proposal before accepting his hand in marriage later on.

“He proposed to me but I said no. But he insisted, saying that he was serious and would wait for even 1,000 years for me to say ‘yes’ and marry him,” revealed Kilobi. In retrospect, the TV anchor said she turned down the proposal because of their age difference.

“But I have now realised that age should never be a key consideration in a relationship. Atwoli is that guy who is never bothered about mundane issues that sometimes break up marriages,” she stated at the time.

She describes the COTU boss as a responsible man who comes home straight from work. The couple lives at their IIbisil home in Kajiado.
