ODM leader Raila Odinga's aide Silas Jakakimba and wife Florence Nyombo left no stones unturned when they exchanged their vows at the Safari Park Hotel in Nairobi on Saturday, October 16.
The lavish event was attended friends, family members and known personalities including city lawyer Donald Kipkorir, Comedian Jalang'o and wife Amina Chao among others.
So luxurious was the wedding that the bride arrived on a chopper to the much surprise of the guests.
A line up of bridesmaids donning navy blue dresses waited for her outside the chopper and led her to the altar where Jakakimba was patiently waiting.
The couple exchanged their vows and afterwards enjoyed local music as they danced with their guests.
After the ceremony was over, the couple boarded a chopper that gave them a ride around the venue as guests cheered them on.
Jakakimba, who is a lawyer and politician, proposed to Nyombo on August 31, 2021.
The wedding came just weeks after comedian and content creator, Esther Kazungu tied the knot with her long time partner James Kibunja in a private wedding ceremony.
The couple reportedly spent Ksh60,000 to celebrate their union, something that let netizens talking.
A section of Kenyans thought the amount was too much for such a cutthroat economy while others felt the couple was on track stating that weddings were quite expensive.
Diana Muthoni from Kenya Wedding Planners told Kenyans.co.ke that couples ought to plan their wedding based on the budget.
"Planning a wedding varies from client to client because it depends on the details. What may be considered as a simple wedding for you may not be regarded as a simple wedding by another person," she stated.
