Former Machakos Senator, Johnson Muthama has hit out at wiper party leader, Kalonzo Musyoka following his remarks about his availability for talks with Deputy President William Ruto.
This comes after Kalonzo publicly declared that he was open to negotiations with the DP's party ahead of the 2022 General Election.
“If you hear them looking for me, tell them I am available because Kenyans must consult. If they want to reach out to me, they are most welcome,” Kalonzo stated.
In a bare-knuckle attack, Muthama claims that the Wiper party leader is a selfish politician who was only looking out for himself in order to secure a job.
He further accused the former Vice President of using the Kamba community's votes for political survival ahead of the 2022 polls.
“This man has no stand, neither does he know which direction to take the Kamba community because he is always engulfed in self-aggrandizement at the expense of uplifting the living standards of the people he purports to lead,” Mr. Muthama further remarked.
The ex-lawmaker further stated that it's high time the Kamba community to join UDA party stating that it has a guarantee of forming the next government in the upcoming general elections.
Muthama likened the wiper party leader to a hyena that split into two trying to decide which way to go.
“Kalonzo Musyoka’s tough choices are nothing but an old story of a hyena that split into two, trying to make a choice on which homestead was preparing meat. He is torn between which side of the bread is well-buttered. He is looking for a job,” he added.
However, this is not the first time Muthama and Kalonzo have confronted each other publicly.
On May 1, 2021, the two engaged in a physical confrontation at a burial in Mitaboni, Machakos following Kalonzo's remarks on Muthama's ex-wife Agnes Kavindu.
Kalonzo, who was the last politician to speak at the funeral service threw a jibe at Muthama stating that he will return Muthama's wife after the upcoming 2022 General Elections causing tempers to flare.
