Jubilee Party has spoken out regarding a list announcing replacements of Deputy President William Ruto as the party's deputy leader.

The list went viral on social media platforms on Wednesday, November 17, announcing new changes in the leadership structure of the ruling party.

The undated document had revealed that Nakuru Governor, Lee Kinyanjui, former Eldas Member of Parliament, Adan Keynan, and Samburu County Woman Representative, Maison Leshomo, were the best candidates to replace the DP as Jubilee Party's deputy leader.

The letter further indicated that the members of the party had deliberated before coming up with the possible replacements of various posts.

Jubilee Party, in a statement, however, clarified that the list was fake and no such deliberations had taken place.

Other changes that were contained in the document included the party Secretary General, Raphael Tuju, being replaced by former Nyeri Woman Representative, Priscilla Nyokabi.

The list, however, maintained President Uhuru Kenyatta as the Party leader, Nelson Nzuya as its Chairman and David Murathe as its vice chair.

In an earlier report, Tuju announced that the National Delegates Convention (NDC), aimed at changing the party's leadership, was slated for November 30.

The NDC will be held in Kasarani in line with the party's constitution.

Tuju also gave notice of the agenda of this year's NDC. The convention will seek to review, formulate and, or approve all policies of the party.

On Thursday, November 4, the Jubilee Parliamentary Caucus made it clear that DP Ruto and his supporters, who had decamped to the United Democratic Alliance (UDA), would be kicked out of the ruling party.

"In the same breath, we are happy to announce that Jubilee has cleaned house at local and national level and shaken off most of the bad elements who have been undermining the party including, unfortunately, none other than the Deputy Party Leader William Ruto.

"As a party, we will swallow any bitter pill if that is the only guarantee for a better, healthier and more robust party. We will do what we have to do to protect our legacy - as the ruling party for 10 years - and as a party transitioning into another new beginning and promise of renewal," read the strongly-worded letter at the time.
