Nairobi Gubernatorial aspirant and outgoing Senator Johnson Sakaja has revealed his future plans in case he does not clinch the county's top seat.

Speaking on Citizen TV on Wednesday, November 24, Sakaja stated that the race was not the end of life and that he would easily move on.

He noted that he would go back to managing his businesses and at some point, joking that he would be open to working as Mutula Kilonzo's personal assistant.

"In the highly unlikely event that I lose, I will just go back to business or I can be his, Mutula Kilonzo's PA. You know, whatever, it is not the end of life," he explained.

While on the talk show, Sakaja, who appeared alongside Makueni Senator, Mutula Kilonzo Jr, also noted that he would support the Wiper leader in case they took a shot at the Presidency.

He explained that their different political affiliations could not separate them from their zeal to changing the nation for the betterment of its people.

Sakaja is attached to the ruling Jubilee Party while Mutula Kilonzo subscribes to Wiper Party headed by Kalonzo Musyoka.

Sakaja's business sense is well known in the public domain. In a previous interview, he revealed that he made a deal that earned him a Mercedes Benz while still in campus.

In the 2020 sit down with Nyashinski, the Senator stated that after joining the University of Nairobi, he delved into student politics which afforded him privileges such as nice rooms and being able to set up businesses around the school.

Little did he know that while he was the chairman of SONU (now UNSA), he would land a role in former President Mwai Kibaki's administration.

"The first time I met Kibaki was in 2006 after the referendum. He asked to hear my dreams about the country and I started working with him.

"We established the Vijana na Kibaki initiative and started mobilising in universities and that is how I bought my first car a green Mercedes Benz," he explained.

Sakaja is running against Tim Wanyonyi from ODM, and Margaret Wanjiru of UDA in the city's gubernatorial  race.
