Former KTN News Anchor Michelle Ngele has quietly left KTN News for a new show on K24 TV.

In an exclusive interview with Kenyans.co.ke, the celebrated news anchor disclosed that she left the Mombasa-road based media house to pursue something different.

She further noted that she quit the station seven months ago but is now set to join Mediamax's K24.

"I just chose to resign to follow something different. At the time, I had a different gig and so I chose to leave. It has been seven months now and I will be making my debut on a different station next week.

"I am moving to K24 TV as a news anchor. I am not sure about the schedule yet but it should be sometime next week. I will also serve as a producer and editor," she stated.

She further revealed that her new show at K24 TV would be a news bulletin centering around governance and citizen journalism.

"We are looking at Thursday but we haven't firmed up but we are still preparing for a new show. It was meant to be some time this week.

"It is a prime time news bulletin but mostly around governance, people empowerment and citizen journalism," she explained.

Regarding her time at KTN News, she noted that it was her foundation and that it moulded her into the professional that she is today.

"I absolutely enjoyed my time at KTN News. They made me who I am today and I am forever grateful. It's a wonderful place to grow," she added.

Ngele joined KTN News' high powered News team in 2015 after emerging victorious in the Station's competition show The Presenter alongside Jamal Gaddafi.

She is an alumni of the United States International University (USIU).
