United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Party has clarified a leaked agreement between Deputy President William Ruto and ANC Party Leader Musalia Mudavadi.

A statement by UDA issued on Saturday, January 29, indicated that Ruto, Musalia and their Ford-Kenya counterpart Moses Wetangula would publicise their agreement at their convenient time.

UDA dismissed reports purporting that the three leaders had signed a memorandum of understanding detailing how they would share power after August 9.

The party urged their supporters to ignore the misrepresentations and that the reports were doctored to suit a certain political narrative.

"The cooperation between UDA, ANC and Ford Kenya is aimed at bringing all Kenyans together, driving Kenya towards economic prosperity by adopting the bottom-up economic model na pesa mfukoni model," the statement read in part.

"Our cooperation has and continues to create earthquake tremors across the political scene of our country and our competitors are sponsoring such fake or speculative headlines in order to achieve a certain narrative," it continued.

Earlier reports alleged that Mudavadi was to be appointed as the Chief Minister if DP Ruto assumed power.

His ANC would also get two more ministries which include Devolution and Finance. Wetangula’s Ford Kenya Party was to be given two Cabinet slots and appointments to the government.

ANC would front a candidate for the Nairobi gubernatorial race, with a UDA politician as the deputy governor.

The Mudavadi led party was allegedly going to back Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja. Mudavadi revealed that he dumped One Kenya Alliance (OKA) after being manipulated by some external forces and there was a secret pact ahead of the August General election.

He explained that he had a feeling that OKA was being pushed and packaged to associate with Azimio la Umoja affiliated with ODM party leader Raila Odinga.
