Kenya Television Network (KTN) journalist Ahmed Hussein married the love of his life at a colourful wedding on Saturday, March 5.
The wedding was conducted in line with the Muslim customs and was held at Habeswein town in Wajir County.
In the video aired on KTN, the journalist was accompanied by his friends and family to tie the knot with the bride, Aisha Ahmed.
The KTN journalist together with his groomsmen dawned white Kanzus while en route to pick the bride from her home.
Standard Group (SG) management and his colleagues congratulated Hussein and his newly wedded wife.
Hussein joined SG in January 2020 as a reporter for three Northeastern counties Wajir, Mandera, and Marsabit.
Additionally, he is responsible for covering news in the neighbouring country, Somalia.
"I talk to sources, follow up on leads, do research, and thereafter conduct interviews in broadcast live or pre-recorded and present it to the viewers.
"I also provide special reports on the socio-political developments in Somalia. I develop and generate relevant and human-interest stories on the unfolding in the horn of Africa nation including but not limited to the insecurity question the humanitarian crisis amid the political squabbles," Hussein states in his LinkedIn profile.
Prior to joining KTN, he worked as a Data Analyst at the Red Cross call centre and at the Norwegian Refugee Council.
Apart from Standard Group, Hussein has worked for Mediamax as a K24 correspondent and a writer for Kenya News Agency. He also worked as a press officer for the Wajir County Government.
The KTN journalist is a communications graduate from Moi University and holds a Master's Degree from the University of Nairobi (UoN).
